Google user data

Last updated: October 7, 2026 · Español · Privacy Notice

This page explains how Viernes, operated by Medio Melon S.A. de C.V., accesses, uses, stores and shares data received from Google APIs when a business connects its Google Calendar. It complements our Privacy Notice.

Limited Use statement

Viernes' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we access

When a business connects Google Calendar, Viernes requests the Google Calendar scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar) and your account's email address. From the calendars the business connects, Viernes reads events: their start and end times, title, description, location, video-call link, attendee names and email addresses, and the business's response status.

How we use it

  • To keep the business's existing commitments from being offered as available appointment times.
  • To show the business its own Google Calendar events inside its Viernes calendar.
  • To create, update and cancel, in that Google Calendar, the appointments the business or its Viernes assistant books.

We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing scheduling features listed above. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.

Google user data and AI

Viernes uses AI models to answer the business's customers. Google Calendar event details — titles, descriptions, locations, links and attendees — are never sent to an AI model. The only Calendar-derived information a model receives is a short list of free time slots, which our scheduling engine computes deterministically before any model is called.

We do not use Google user data, raw, aggregated, anonymized or derived, to create, train, fine-tune or improve any AI or machine-learning model, ours or anyone else's, and we do not transfer it to any third party for that purpose.

Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini models) generates the assistant's replies. Under the Google Cloud terms, Google does not use this data to train or fine-tune any model.

Amazon Web Services Bedrock (Anthropic Claude models) processes only the text a business uploads to describe its own services. It never receives Google user data.

Sharing, storage and human access

We do not transfer Google user data to anyone except as needed to provide the features above, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with the user's notice. Event details are stored encrypted on our Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States.

No person reads Google user data unless the business explicitly asks us to (for example, in a support request), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law.

Disconnecting and deletion

A business can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Viernes, or revoke access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. When a calendar is disconnected, Viernes stops reading it and removes the events it had synchronized from it. For any other request, write to privacy@viernes.io.
